Affiliate Marketing Blogs

Yesterday I briefly touched on how you can blog your way into a really productive affiliate website. Which spurred a few questions from you, who I affectionately call the AW Posse. :)

(I’m a legend in my own mind…)

The question I received the most was how do you go about blogging when it comes to niche marketing and affiliate websites?

The honest answer? I don’t know. Because blogging is just writing. Talking to people with written words as if they were sitting in the same room. I am a fairly prolific blogger, writing and maintaining a dozen or more blogs at any given time. Most are business related, marketing or affiliate sites. But to tell you how you should blog?

Dunno.

I attended a webinar the other day and listened to Debbie Weil talk about blogging. In the seminar, she mentioned that you needed to have the “blogging gene”, which I think sums it up completely. She went on to say that you either have the blogging gene, or you don’t, and I totally agree. I guess blogging can be taught to some degree, but it’s also a unique talent in my opinion. Not necessarily the words or how eloquent your prose is, but sitting down every day and staring at that blank text editor. Looking for something to write about that the world might want to read.

Because I’ll be really honest. I don’t think I am a very good writer. I read quite a few blogs each day and am amazed at how well written some of them are. Usually, I go away wishing I could write half as well. But I’ll tell you what I do have in common with some of these great bloggers. That’s the ability to sit at the computer day in and day out, blogging regularly.

So in my humble opinion, I do in fact have the blogging gene. Because poetic or not, I am here. Talking to you, as regularly as I possibly can.

Which has given me moderate success online. Though I’m never going to be considered one of the best writers in the world, I can say that I love to blog and that I enjoy writing my blogs every day.

Which is why some of them that are affiliate oriented do well. At least that’s why I think they do. Because though I am an average writer, I’m a passionate blogger and a passionate business person. The mix has paid off for me, allowing me to blog my way to a living online.

Which, if you have the gene according to Debbie, you can too.

So consider blogging when it comes to developing your niche sites. Find out if you have the gene. Find out if this is the way to a whole new living, a whole new way of life.

    I agree with you..

Blogging is not predefined… it’s like when you sit and you start typing..

But, still then affiliate marketing blogs have become quite common.. So, that is when you have got a pre-specified goal in your mind and then you can just promote your links and products..

Change is the law of nature..!! Guess, I will create myself too.. But, first I need to search for some great affiliate programs.. :(

    But, anyways, great post bro..!!
